This custom Ocularis saber empty hilt kit is in stock and ready to ship. It’s ONE OF A KIND. Only ONE is available.

This fantastic saber was done by Joshua Gamble and commissioned specifically for the Black Friday sale! Not only did Joshua etch and weather this beauty, but he also added a weathered chemical brass coloring to certain parts. The saber was then leather wrapped by me here at Ignition. This is a stunning saber and one lucky person will make it their own.

This an empty hilt kit. No electronics or other installation parts are included.

Now, on to the normal Ocularis info:

This amazing hilt is the brainchild of master sabersmith, Azy Showcase! He and I have worked closely together to make one of his best designs available to the public. Azy only creates one-of-kind sabers and that allows only a small percentage of saber collectors to own his work. So we decided to collaborate on this run and allow others the ability to have access to this incredible design! There have been subtle changes made to differentiate the Ocularis from the original saber, which now resides in a private collection.

The saber is composed of 16 individual parts made of both 6061 aluminum and brass. It takes 18 individual screws and 13 brass washers to assemble! Producing this thing was quite the challenge! The grip attaches to the emitter using an L-lock system similar to the J-lock found on Graflex flashguns. While this L-lock system can be tightened down to be quite secure with the provided brass thumbscrew (or included button head screw for more comfort), this saber is not intended for anything more than the lightest of dueling.

The chassis included with this hilt was designed by Tim McCarthy of Tierfon Orbital fame. It’s printed in SLS nylon, dyed black, looks great and is very durable. The front section houses the blade pixel pcb and a round 16mm glass or quartz marble. (Neither are provided with this kit.) Assembly is completed by gluing each section together with a little E-6000 glue as you wire it up. It can be a little tricky with wire management so if you’re a novice builder, consider one of the many reputable installers to assemble and install this for you.
The chassis will accept a Proffie 2.2 or new 3.9 (and with a little sanding to the sides of the soundboard, also a GHv3.) The chassis also allows for a removable 18650 battery and a 28mm bass speaker. Two small brass tactile switches are needed as well.
The chassis is included with the hilt kit. Components are not.
